Is Microblading Really Semi-Permanent?

Short Answer: NO, here is why...

Microblading is a Cosmetic Tattoo. Everyone retains and reacts differently to pigment- therefore I cannot ethically guarantee if or when the pigment will every completely goes away. Microblading is a hand tool method of implanting the pigment into the upper layer of the Dermis. All tattoo's penetrate and implant pigment into this layer. If we only implanted into the Epidermis than the pigment would go away during the 28 day skin cycle (age pending.) I could create a 3D Hairstroke look with the machine, Microblading is the hand tool method of doing this. Microblading is a set of needles that are dipped into pigment designed for the face in a scratch like opening. We then clot the scratch like opening with more pigment for better retention. Microshading is the hand tool method of creating shading vs the machine. All of which are tattoos, just different methods to get the pigment into the skin. Yes cosmetic tattoos fade quicker than body art tattoos because facial skin is thinner and the ink is designed for the face and is typically less concentrated than body art pigments. Hand tool work and Machine work implant pigment into the upper layer of the Dermis- Hand tool method work aka Microblading fades quicker than machine work because it gets less pigment into that layer of skin. It is NOT because it is penetrating a more superficial layer of skin. Hand tool work will fade quicker than machine work and often creates more scar tissue than machine work, but I cannot guarantee if or when it will ever go away. Therefore it is not sem-permanent. It is a tattoo. When done properly the scar tissue is not visible and the results can be stunning. But please go to a trained professional- and a sign they are NOT trained properly is if they insist or market Microblading as semi-permanent.
